The perfect public and private facility

After two years without an official home the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead finally moved one of their business units back into York House after an extensive refurbishment.

Project Summary

The ground floor area supports certain business teams within an open-plan space, for up to approximately 50 heads. It was essential that the CSC unit contained their own ‘front of house’ area and importantly the creation of a meeting facility zone, which provides a new council meeting chamber, for Windsor. RBWMs new facility provides a first-class environment fitting for the Royal Borough with classic, warm colours and finishes. A superb front-of-house public area with interview rooms, a multi-use flexible council chamber, collaboration space and open plan team working are punctuated with a central breakout area.
